I read and really enjoyed Time's Echo, the novella written from Kiernan's POV, and was equally impressed with Time's Mirror, the novella written from Pru's POV. Both novellas pack in a lot of information in such a tight space, giving us that "other side" of the story that we learned about in Timebound and Time's Edge. In the full-size novels, as well as Time's Echo, Pru is definitely the antagonist, although we did get glimpses that hers may be a complicated tale. In Time's Mirror Rysa Walker peels back the layers to reveal why this sad woman became who she was. It did get complicated with all the different versions of people, but it is time travel, a very complicated concept. If you are a fan of the Chronos Series, I would definitely recommend reading the two novellas, Time's Echo and Time's Mirror.

Time Mirror CHRONOS Files 25 The CHRONOS Files eBook Rysa Walker Reviews

It was interesting to see young Pru's point of view, but i wanted more. I wanted to see how she transformed from a girl we like into the woman we hate... And also, what happened with Tate?! She just let's older Pru dictate what's going to happen and drops him... But he still loves her in book 3... So confused...
These books are amazing! I stumbled upon the first one in the series, and now I just can't get enough! I have read the first two books and both Novellas, and I'm just waiting for October for the next one! She is very consistent in her story and the "rules" for time traveling (which is something I greatly appreciate b/c it doesn't leave huge unexplained gaps in the story). Once you start reading these you will get sucked in and won't be able to put them down!
Rysa nailed it again, this time with an amazing novella from Pru's point of view! We get Pru's back story starting from when she was a spoiled snarky teen.

I loved all the insight into Pru's development into the Sister Pru we all came to know and hate. And this novella almost (almost) makes me feel sorry for her. The timey wimey parts that can make your head spin is Rysa's GENIUS as she seriously pulls it off to where it actually begins to make sense!

I especially loved seeing the future and all its incredible technology!

I was so happy to delve back into the Chronos world and this novella was perfect to keep me going until Time's Divide releases!!
I really enjoyed Time's Mirror in part because it wasn't at all what I was expecting. I mean, it was probably one of the biggest literary surprises I've ever come across. The first CHRONOS novella gave us a sequence of events from Kiernan's POV; likewise, in Time's Mirror we get a series of events from Pru's POV. I can't comment more without giving away the purpose of the novel, but I'll simply say that I finished this novella and wanted to go back and re-read the whole CHRONOS series with this new vision of Pru in my head.

Fans of the CHRONOS chronicles will enjoy the description of Pru's first travel through time and will appreciate the deft way with which Walker plays with the time continuum. She made it easy on us readers in the first books, but she dumped us right into the complexity of time travel with the CHRONOS keys in this novella.

Overall I really enjoyed this story, and only wish that there was more to it so I could get more information about Pru's journey. After reading this I'm even more anxious for the release of the third full book in the trilogy.
I was happy to find this novella before reading the third book because I liked the one with Kiernan, and I hoped this would fill in some information. I still don't really like Pru very much after reading it, but I enjoyed reading how she was brought into the master plan. I just felt like she was pretty naive and so quick to believe the worst of her mother, but not of a shady guy she just met. While she doesn't like him in the end, she still adopts the mindset that she is too invested to turn back. I'm excited to read the third book. Maybe there will be some redeeming qualities in her to find. The only one I really felt from this one was that she loves her sister.
“It’s not black or white, good or evil, from where I’m standing. Here in the middle, everything looks gray.”

-Prudence

Prudence is the star in Time’s Mirror. We left off in the previous book, Time’s Edge, where Kate and Kiernan are gradually gathering medallions trying to stop Kate’s grandfather, Saul, from changing everything about history, so he can be worshiped through his Cyrist religion. Walker has backtracked to the infamous car accident involving Prudence and her adoptive father; explaining where she went and how she discovered the CHRONOS medallions. Prudence has accidentally traveled to the bombing of the CHRONOS lab and is hence stuck in the future, where she learns of an opposite turn of events than Kate has been told.

Prudence’s character is different than was perceived in the previous novels, according to Kate and her grandmother’s point of view. Thus far, I feel incredibly sorry for Prudence and the situation in which she’s found herself, although at the beginning she doesn’t see it that way. According to Prudence, she really can’t decipher who is the evil one, her mother or father, because she has been told stories that her mother is behind the bombing of CHRONOS, not her father. So, here we have Kate and Prudence, virtually the same age, in separate times, being told two totally different stories, but which is correct? After reading what Prudence went through, I must say I’m a little perplexed, and not so gung-ho about bashing her for all the rotten things she’s done; I’d agree with Prudence, “…everything looks gray.”

I cannot say enough about this series. This novella gives us Timebound fanatics another side of the story, Kate’s Aunt Prudence’s side. All this time we’ve thought Prudence was an evil, terrible, out of her mind lunatic, but now we get a little glimpse into why Prudence is the way she is. If this is the beginning of Walker’s third installment of the Timebound series, I’m buckled up and ready! So many twists and turns in this book and a lot of ah-ha moments, that I’m not sure I can wait until October for the final book! In short, this novella was a tease, it sucked me right back into the world of time travel and learning why Saul is so egotistical. Although, not all my questions were answered, which leads me to believe they will be in the new book. I feel like it was another key for the Timebound road map.
